Preface: In support of open-access sources

The purpose of this blog is to present information for the others who are also interested in the relevant subjects. A standard way of doing that is to publish articles in established journals within the field. Such media claim a high capital for submission and publication, and the articles published are often sold with high price tags attached. The intermediates, between the scientists and the public, confine the knowledges as unaffordable luxuries to many, whilst what announced aloud publicly are often cursory conclusions diluted too far.
In recent years, the emergence of open-access journals has ameliorated this situation; several reputable journals have also been releasing certain articles to be accessed freely. The course of the progresses has made it possible for any individual to keep up with own interests outside academic institutions and companies; thanks to them, hermits are enabled to continue following their interests by reading around.
This open space is intended to be a journal at which the notes from the studies are gathered and organised, to indicate the roles of G-protein-coupled receptors in life systems and human perceptions, with descriptions given at molecular levels. Following this set, my next aim is to write a series of essays to discuss the cellular environment around the receptors, with thoughts on how individual modules intwine and co-ordinate in order to self-regulate the whole system.
Although anyone may still be able to study a biological subject using the literatures and databases, the real excitements of the studying belong to those fortunate and privileged in the research labs. As nothing would be happening without them, I would like to thank those spent time getting the results out, and the experts presented the findings with their inspired thoughts and the lasting enthusiasms. I am also deeply thankful to the research groups and the organisations which made their materials freely accessible at their cost, if they have done so.

As for upcoming entries, I would attempt to present the information concisely and succinctly; still, some parts may resemble the swirling-clouds swerving skies after the drenching rain. Then, you could either: focus on the depth of the azure and the fluid structure of the clouds, estimating roughly the momentum; or being daunted by the apprehensive presence of the clouds, wondering if it’s gonna rain again. Take the former, and carry on reading, if you may.
Thank you for your attention to all the readers  -  Y.G
